'Princeton' American Elm

The USDA National Arboretum has tested and approved the 'Princeton' elm as a highly desirable American elm cultivar which is resistant to or tolerant of Dutch Elm Disease.

A true American Elm - 'Princeton' elm was selected by the National Park Service for planting along Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House.

The extremely fast growing 'Princeton' elm shade tree has large, glossy green, leathery leaves and a classic vase shape.

The US Forestry Service has done several studies concluding that American Elms are soil improving trees because leaf drop adds much potassium and calcium back into the soil.

The  majestic 'Princeton' elm  tree can reach heights of 85-100' at maturity with a deep reaching root system, a stately trunk and far reaching branches.

Be a part of the Return of the American Elm.
